Our inter club team racing championships are getting ever closer. I forgot to say in my last post about the demo boat and the potential for borrowing a boat for the event. I can hopefully get a couple of boats for people to use if they have not got their own boats. So if they could let me know if they would like a boat then I will see what I can sort out. Also if people have been unable to get a team together but would like to join in, then they can just turn up and hopefully there will be other people there so that we can put a team together. Entries are still open if you can get a team together, forecast is looking good at the moment and we have a good few teams entered already. I hope to see you there.
Another reminder about the prize giving, details and poster below.
Hope you had a great Christmas and we wish you a happy new year. See you soon.

Just a reminder about the December championships and Hot Toddy race coming up this Saturday the 17th of December. All the details are on the website. We have had a few entry but hopefully we will get a few more, please enter by emailing email@example.com with your name and sail number. This would help us hugely because we can get an idea of numbers so we know how much mulled wine and mince pies to get. Priority for mulled wine and mince pies will be given to those who enter. If you do not enter we cannot guarantee that you will get any. Not to mention the Cheaper entry fee for entering before 6:00pm on Thursday evening. Thanks for your help.
We have prizes for the winners, for the best Christmassy dressed sailor and some other fun prizes. Let’s make it a great final race of 2016.
We are also going to be holding a rigging/tuning session before racing. Paul, Jon and I will be at Pinetops from just after 12:00, so bring your boats along and we can help to get your boats fine-tuned to give you that extra edge or if you would like to come and get some practise in.
Reminder also about team racing, get your teams together and get your entries in. Please also contact us or the LTSC office if you are able to attend prize giving. All the details on the website.

We have been a bit lacking on numbers throughout September and October due to XOD racing and circuit events. So now it is November there are no excuses, apart from it may be a bit chilli but that is not a real excuse. Normal Saturday racing this week (5th) and next week (12th), then the penultimate championship of the year on the 19th of November. It is all very close at the top of the prestigious Grand Prix Series trophy, so all to play for. Results as always on the website. 1:30pm for a 2:00pm start at Pinetops as usual. Demo boat can also be available, if you know of someone that would like to come along and try it I can hopefully sort that out.
I am also looking for the results from Saturday 15th of October, if anyone has them or knows who might have them, if they could send them to me so I can add them to the series and put them on the website that would be great. Thanks.
I hope to see many of you racing your DF65 soon.
We had to postpone the September championship last week as we had a lack of organising staff. The September championships are now this Saturday, the 1st of October. I know it is not September any more but we have run out of Saturdays so it will have to do. 2:00pm first start at Pinetops so if you could be there for 1:30pm to help set up that would be great.
Hope to see you racing soon.
Unfortunately the summer is coming to and end and the light evenings are getting shorter. This Tuesday the 6th of September will be the last Tuesday evening of this year. It will be a usual start time of 6:30pm at Pinetops. Hope to see you there.
On Saturday the 10th there will be NO official racing. However we were thinking of doing something a bit different, we were thinking maybe a long distance race alone the sea wall or something. Would anybody be interested in doing something like that? If you have any other ideas of something a bit different that we could do or if you would like to do that then please get in touch with me and I will organise it.
Then on Saturday the 17th of September, we will resume with the current series again. It will be 1:30pm arrive and set up for a 2:00pm first start at Pinetops, we will plan for 8 races but may differ depending on conditions and numbers. The LTSC bar and galley will be open before and after racing for food and drink. We will then continue on Saturdays at Pinetops for the winter. The next championship will then be on Saturday 24th of September.
Hope to see you racing your DF65 soon.
It’s that time in the month again, this Tuesday the 16th will be our August championships. It will be held at Pinetops Nurseries and we will aim for a 6:30 as usual, if you can get there earlier to help set up the course etc. then that would be great. There will be a £2 entry fee, prize giving will be held at LTSC afterwards, where prizes will be given and there will be a raffle for those who are there. The demo boat is available as always, if you know someone that would like to try the DF65 then please email me to reserve it. The forecast is for champagne sailing so not excuses. If you have a problem with your boat and don’t know how to fix it or what you need to fix it then please get in touch with us and we will do our best to help.
Hope to see many of you there to make it a great evening.
